British Riding Club Competitions

WORC regularly send teams and individuals to represent the club at our area qualifiers in several disciplines. There are qualifiers in dressage, dressage to music, horse trials, eventer challenges, show jumping and endurance. With so much variety there really is something for everyone so why not get in touch about representing the club! We have no selection policy and love to see our club represented, everyone is good enough!

WORC has achieved some fantastic results at championship levels. We have been crowned BRC National DTM junior champion twice, BRC National junior prelim champion & even competing at Olympia in the quadrille final! We also compete at some prestigious venues such as Blenhiem Horse Trails, Royal international Horse Show Hickstead & Rockingham Horse trials in the inter club competition. If we have willing volunteers to go we will send a team!

Competing on the WORC Teams

For those of you who are unfamiliar with team events; within our British Riding Club Area there are competitions covering all aspects of Dressage, Show Jumping, Endurance and Eventing. Each discipline has its own qualifying competition and the winning teams and individuals of each class go forward to compete at National Championships. There are separate classes for Seniors and Juniors. There is also the opportunity to compete in show jumping teams at the RIHS Hickstead and Blenheim Horse Trials.

Area 18 operates a database system to collate the details of horses competing for each club. BRC rules require horses to meet strict rules on passport information and flu vaccination status and the Offical Stewards at events need to verify that horses competing are compliant with the rules. To make life simpler we encourage riders to submit their horses' details to the database PRIOR to the day of a competition.

Submitting your horse's details will speed up your check in time with the secretary on the day and, more importantly, prevent a wasted trip if your horse's passport or flu record is found to be non compliant to the rules. The link to the BRC page is above and there you will find all the relevant information.
